Czech design week
ChallengeEach edition of Czech Design Week is an opportunity to show that design is alive, experimental, and ever-changing. For 2024, the goal was to create an identity that would reflect the dynamism of the design process itself, a system that could morph, shift, and breathe just like the ideas it celebrates. The challenge was to balance flexibility and cohesion: giving the festival a recognisable visual voice, while allowing the 2024 edition to have its own character, crafted by the designer’s hand.
SolutionThe 2024 identity is inspired by the process of shaping design itself. Every object, a chandelier, a piece of ceramics, or a chair, has its own form and structure, and these physical processes informed the visual system. Typography and shapes interact, merge, and bend, echoing how designers manipulate, mold, and experiment with materials. Forms shift and collide across digital and physical applications, creating a sense of motion and transformation. The pedestal logo anchors the system, highlighting the festival as a platform, while the morphing forms celebrate the diversity of design, showing that the identity itself is shaped by creativity, experimentation, and the constant evolution of ideas.
